With over a million users, it is Switzerland's most popular payment service and is the country's digital cash. The app allows users to send, receive, and request money securely via their smartphone. TWINT can be used to pay for purchases online, at Coop and Migros, and for parking fees without using coins. Users can also collect valuable points when paying via TWINT using the deposited UBS credit card, buy digital coupons and credit, donate to charity for Swiss aid organizations and their projects, and profit from various coupons, raffles, vouchers, and stamp cards. The app is protected by a 6-digit PIN or fingerprint and the UBS TWINT account can be blocked at any time.
